Chax – Terms of Use

Last updated: November 1, 2026 | Users aged 18 and over

These terms govern the service relationship between you and Adem Cihad Birincioğlu, the individual who operates the Chax mobile app and related web services (“Chax”). Contact: [email protected]. The Privacy Policy is provided separately; accepting these terms does not mean consenting to all processing of personal data.

1Eligibility and accounts

You may use Chax only if you are at least 18 and may lawfully use the service where you live. Keep your account information accurate, protect your login details, do not transfer your account or impersonate anyone, and notify us of unauthorized use. We may proportionately restrict an account or content for a rule breach, security concern, or legal duty. A higher local minimum age applies where required.

2The service and your choices

Chax offers profiles, discovery and matching, event hosting and attendance, messaging, content sharing, and optional analysis tools. Basic accounts are free; Chax+ and some additional digital rights may be paid. Current paid features and limits are shown before purchase. Chax does not guarantee a match, event attendance, another user’s behavior, or physical safety.

Your general profile audience, profile fields, upcoming events, feed cards about past events, participation in matching, AI analysis, and display of AI summaries are separate product choices. Turning on one does not turn on the others. The Privacy Policy and relevant choice screens explain the legal permissions needed for processing personal data.

Third-party catalog information, services and links

Movie and TV titles, posters, ratings, and related catalog information shown in Chax may come from TMDB (The Movie Database); book titles, authors, covers, and related information may come from Open Library. These are used for features such as selecting favorites. We cannot guarantee that third-party catalog information is always correct, complete, or current. Chax is not endorsed or approved by TMDB or Open Library.

Chax may use other third-party services for sign-in, app store payments, maps or place searches, and technical functions, and may link to external sites. Independent third-party services have their own terms and privacy rules. Chax remains responsible for its own service, its choice of providers, and duties that cannot be limited by law. Sharing of personal data with providers is explained in the Privacy Policy.

3Community rules and safety

Harassment, insults, threats, hate speech, violence, fraud, spam, illegal content, involvement of minors, unauthorized disclosure of others’ private information, sharing photos without permission, infringement of intellectual property, unauthorized automated collection, unauthorized access to another account or Chax systems, and interference with the service are prohibited. Make your own safety decisions about where and when to meet others and what information to share. Contact local emergency services if you face immediate danger.

You can use in-app tools to report content, behavior, and peer reviews about you, and to block other users. We review reports; a report does not automatically remove content. Depending on the violation, we may hide content, remove an event, or restrict an account. Where appropriate, we explain our reason and accept review requests at [email protected]. We may act without prior notice in urgent safety situations or when legally required.

4User content and rights

You retain your rights to profile, photo, message, comment, and event content that you upload. You grant Chax a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host it, technically adapt it, display it to your chosen audience, review it for safety and moderation, and process it with necessary service providers to the extent required to provide the service. The license lasts until your account or content is deleted and may continue as needed for legal retention, security records, backups, and copies that remain accessible to other users. It does not transfer ownership to Chax.

Do not upload content that violates others’ personal data or rights. Do not publish other members’ messages, photos, or reviews seen in the app without permission. Rights in Chax software, brand, and original content belong to Chax or its licensors; this provision does not transfer ownership of user content.

5AI analysis and photo verification

When the separate AI analysis choice is enabled, aggregated traits may be used to create personality, dating, or hosting summaries. Content and photo safety checks and classification of review text can be separate processing operations; no single user choice should be assumed to enable every AI operation. AI summaries are estimates, not definitive proof of a person’s safety, identity, character, or romantic compatibility. You can give feedback on your summary and ask for source reviews to be examined. Reviews hidden following examination are excluded from later calculations; an earlier summary may update with a delay.

For optional photo verification, your uploaded selfie and profile photo are submitted for authorized review. Verification does not guarantee legal identity or future behavior. The Privacy Policy explains how selfies and decisions are processed and retained.

6Events and relationships between users

A user hosting an event must accurately describe its place, time, attendance rules, and any fee, and must host a lawful event. Attendees must follow the published rules and community rules. Unless stated otherwise, the user is the event organizer; Chax is not a party to the event, a ticket seller, or an intermediary for payments between users. The organizer is responsible for cancellation and communication with attendees. This provision does not remove Chax’s responsibility for its own fault or duties that cannot be limited by law.

7Chax+ and purchases

Chax+ may offer monthly, quarterly, and annual subscriptions. The selected plan’s total price, currency, length, any trial or discount, and renewal price are shown in the app and store before purchase. A subscription may renew automatically until canceled under the store’s rules. Current benefits and limits are explained on the purchase screen; material product changes will be communicated to existing subscribers as required by law and store rules.

App store subscriptions are managed and canceled through the relevant Apple or Google account. Unless the store applies a different outcome or issues a refund, Chax+ access continues until the end of the paid period after cancellation. Deleting your Chax account or the app does not automatically cancel store billing. The “Restore purchases” feature can recognize eligible store purchases again. Applicable law and store rules govern refunds and withdrawal rights. The price, rights, and spending order of digital credits sold separately from subscriptions are shown before purchase. Purchased credits do not expire solely with time, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Statutory refund and withdrawal rights remain.

8Service and account changes

Maintenance, security, or technical problems may interrupt the service. We announce material changes to features or these terms through an appropriate channel; mandatory consumer rights remain. You can request account deletion in the app. The request can be withdrawn for 15 days; the Privacy Policy explains later deletion and retention exceptions. Requests to review an account restriction can be sent to [email protected].

9Liability and disputes

We provide the service with reasonable care. AI outputs and statements by other users may be wrong or misleading; independently assess information before making important personal, financial, or safety decisions based on it. Chax is liable for consequences of other users’ independent conduct or decisions made solely in reliance on AI output to the extent required by law. This provision does not exclude Chax’s intent, gross negligence, its own system failures, mandatory consumer rights, or other non-excludable duties. Turkish law applies to disputes, while mandatory consumer and data protection rules and rights to competent authorities in your habitual place of residence remain unaffected.
