Chax – Reporting and Appeals
Last updated: November 1, 2026
You can report a profile, message, event, photo, comment or peer review about you if it conflicts with the Community Rules. A block option may also be available on the relevant screen. In immediate danger, contact local emergency or law-enforcement services first; the Safer Connections Guide has further advice.
1How to report
Use Report and an appropriate reason on the relevant content or person's screen. If the app does not offer a suitable route, email [email protected]. Describe when the event occurred, the profile, event or content concerned, and what happened. You may attach a screenshot. Do not send your password, verification code or unnecessary sensitive information.
Reports are reviewed in context. Submitting one does not automatically remove content or close an account. Details that could compromise the reported person's privacy, safety or others' rights may not be disclosed to the reporter. Malicious or repeated false reports can also violate the Community Rules.
2Possible outcomes
Depending on the violation, content may be hidden or removed, an event restricted, a member warned, features limited, or an account suspended or closed. A peer review hidden after examination is excluded from later AI calculations; an existing summary may take time to update. You can also use the feedback tool for your AI summary. This process does not limit statutory access, correction or erasure rights; see the Privacy Policy for personal data requests.
3Appealing a decision
If you think an action against your account or content was mistaken, email [email protected] with your account email, a short explanation and any relevant notice. Where feasible, the request is considered separately from the original review context. The decision may be upheld, changed or reversed. Legally required notices and your right to contact competent authorities remain. Safety or legal reasons may limit the details that can be shared.
